Go Here Next (GoHereNext.com) - Income at Home Business?
94
I listen to late night talk radio. One show I tune in is Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. The topics on this show range from alien abduction to religion to science and beyond. If you listen to talk radio, maybe you have heard a commercial touting the opportunity to work at home and make a great income. This commercial is aimed at people who may be out of work and stay-at-home parents. The pitch is for "Income at Home," a home-based business that sounds too good to be true but very short on detail, and repeats the web site address "go here next dot com" several times.
Recently a caller asked Noory about this advertiser on the air. The caller wanted wanted to know what type of business they were selling. Noory paused and then became serious as he chose his words carefully. He explained that he investigated this advertiser thoroughly and he fully endorses the business. Unfortunately, Noory was also short on detail. This made me curious, so I decided to dig a little deeper.
When you visit goherenext.com and enter some basic information, you are forwarded to another site createmyfuture.com. There you watch a video about a billionaire "Mr. X," who is really Roger Barnett. He supposedly spent incredible amounts of time and money in search of a successful business. On his quest he discovered "Network Marketing," which you may know as multi-level-marketing and the company he bought is Shaklee.
More About Shaklee
Shaklee Corporation
Haven't heard of it? Neither have I. The company was started in 1956 and manufactures nutritional supplements and household products and distributes its products through multi-level-marketing.
Shaklee went through several acquisitions and mergers through the years, and was purchased in 2004 by two investment groups led by Barnett.
You don't sell products directly, but you do promote the Shaklee brand and more importantly, their "business model" to get other people to join. You and your customers must also buy Shaklee products to earn points to get commission.
Their example: earn a 6 figure income ($100,000/year) using this business model. Find 2 people every month to join. If those 2 people then find 1 person every month, and the people who join also continue to recruit 1 person every month, and so on, then you will reach a 6 figure [annual] income in 18 months. It sounds easy, but if you do the math, this means over 200,000 people will have joined your "Shaklee team" and purchase Shaklee products. Yes, 200,000 people working under you and buying overpriced products you so that you can make an income. This is not a sustainable business model.
Regardless, they try to convince you that this is your chance to buy into this business... so get ready to buy something! They offer a "Business Builder Pack"
of Shaklee products, training and business building tools. The kit costs
$299 plus tax and $25.65 shipping. Once you receive the kit you will see
how wonderful their products are and have the tools to pitch this company to all your family, friends and associates.
Is Shaklee a scam?
No, the company Shaklee itself it is not a scam, but it uses multi-level-marketing. The one detail that separates it from a pyramid scheme is that they offer a product in addition to getting other people to join and recruit more people.
My View
What do I think about this "business model"? if it was so great, why are the advertisements so short on detail? I think they have a secret they want to keep hidden. The same secret of any company using network marketing, direct selling, referral marketing, pyramid selling... it is still multi-level-marketing. Shaklee, Amway (Quixtar), Herbalife and the other MLM companies may have real products to sell, but they promote an entirely different product: tales of success and unlimited income. But this product is elusive.
Those who buy into the system claim the the physical products they sell are real and beneficial. I did some research, and in Shaklee's case, the products are horrendously overpriced, marked up by about 3X compared to similar products. So any "discount" you get is not a discount at all.
For a person to actually earn an income from the system, they
must remain very active in recruiting new members by selling the same tale of riches many
times over. In a multi-level-marketing structure the
vast majority of people end up spending many times more then they
ever make.

I wish there was a simple home based business without the investments kits and deceptiveness.
I'm glad you looked up the go here next dot com so I don't have to. I've used Shaklee products and vitamins off and on since I was a kid. I love the natural cleaning products (made of cherry pits!!) and laundry soap.
You're right it is over priced. And MLM companies do well, but I doubt they keep the same "team members" on for the long haul.
Thanks and good luck,
Dawn
thanks alot for the info. i been looking for a home based business. i am a singal mother of 3 children and dont have any time for them. but i dont have alot money to put in a home based business so i will have to hope someday i can find something before my kids grow up with out me. thank you so much.
sharon look up pfs
I was in a multilevel marketing business with Donald Barret as its CEO before, and I invested thousands into what I thought was an awsome way to make money from home.
I was taking sales calls directly from D.B."s infomercials. We had to buy call credits which were very expensive. When D.B. decided this model wasnt working he pulled the plug on the whole thing.I had thousands of dollars in call credits banked and he ran off with every penny.Their were thousands of home agents all getting ripped off by Donald Barret.
In short,If Donald Barret is involved run the other way.
Donald and his buddy Kevin Tredeau are unethical to say the least.
I hope this helps
Joe
Thanks for the info I was surely going to get scammed again. I realy wish that there was something out there that stay athome moms are women who need income but also love to be with there kids could do. Thanks
This sounds like a great strategy. I don't know a whole lot about Shaklee, but I will research deeper before I join. it's really about supply and demand. If you can find people that need the products you will get in business and stay in business. Thanks for sharing this information.Skalee may become my home internet business.
'Sounds like Mr. 'Willbfree1' is the only one willing to get on board with these guys. I wonder if he's working for the Shaklee Co.??
Thanks for the Low-down Pork22.
my name is laurtetta campbell and i want to learn how to work from home and earn extra in come call me at 452-7405 thanks.
Hi just to inform you shaklee has been around since the late 1950's they are no fly by night and some people sy there product are high price but if you rally look at the cleaning product look at cost per use not cost per product
now look at the vitamis, the one in the super market a lot of them is all synicate( sorry no spell checker here) there product work with nautral stuff I was in the business a long time age when I did not understand network markting now I do understand it and I just got back in to shaklee, ,with today job market network markting is a good way to make money but it take time got to treat it as job, even Trump has his own network company which is call Trump network, yes im a shaklee distubutor, casue i know the product work
how start this bssnas in india
Many years ago I was suckered in to a distributorship for a company named Bestline. It was a multi level marketing business selling soap products. It was a bear to opeate. We could not make it work. I looked into the Trump Network offering and Feel its a carbon copy of Bestline. I decded not to look at it any further.
See my hub on MLM's, but Shaklee, Amway, Zrii, all the MLM's are ways to make money. You can, BUT, the stats, the FACTS suggest that only about one percent of people do. The FACT is that getting people to meetings, phone calls and then having them solicit people to join takes a LOT more work than they tell you and for every person you sign up, another leaves because....they aren't making any money. A much better idea...make money online. Easier, faster, less work, more money. At least in my experience, LOL.
this might say something about george noory credability
one company
40 plus yrs a guy by the name of turner came thru
the states selling cosmetic products francises,
he was a small, hair lipped guy that could sell.
if i recall it was $1,500 per and you tried to sell
friends and family. his products were garbage and it
was nothing more than a scheme. he was busted severly
it just goes to show ya that you cant get somthin from nothin
Any business with MLM in the title is bound to be a fraud. Any marketer that calls himself a GURU is someone to ignore.
I love Coast to Coast but I think George should dump this site and ads!
Thanks for the research.
I am pretty much convinced that the only people getting richer, are the ones selling the programs on how they made millions on the internet. They did not get rich with what they are selling you, they get rich on the millions of poor souls buying their crap program for $39.99......."NO Wait!"
"Don't leave the page yet..... if you stay, we will sell it to you TODAY for ONLY $19.00!!!!!" Sound familiar? I might be wrong, but this is how I feel. I have spent countless hours searching for something legit!! Only thing I did find was a sight for reviewing Lawyer cases before they go to court, for a fee of 20.00 to 60.0 per case.
Been there and done that with Shaklee. Most of their cleaning products work well. The food supplements, vitamins, etc. are probably OK, but no better than other similiar products. The "business" side of Shaklee is like so many, the first ones in make the most money and it is a 7 day a week job if you really hope to make decent money. Lots of meetings, gatherings, one-on-one recruiting meetings and if you get a good group of folks working hard you can make some fair money for a time. However, as folks tire of the humdrum efforts and drop out your income will drop out unless you can constantly recurit new members. A good job with benefits is a MUCH better way to go!
THANKS FOR THE INFO BEFORE I GOT SUCKERED AGAIN.WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SCAMS OUT THERE,PEOPLE JUST PRAY ON THE POOR.

Thank you for the info, I was wondering about this one myself.
Wow, I was going to join goherenext at the VIP level, but then wondered why they'd want to give me $15 to join! Didn't sound right to me - sounded like somebody trying to rope me into something for THEIR benefit. They should be shut down - it claims that you just fill out questionnaires each day, and never mentions anything about switching you to and MLM! What a come on! You're right - I thought George Noory had integrity, too! I'm going to email him and tell him what I think.
whyare you telling all the bad stuff about this. why not tell all the good stuff about this so called easy way to makegood money from home. if this is a good way to make money from home, then why not just say please come and join us now and make as much money as you can before all this is cut short.
Shaklee,Melaleuka I've heard of both but how many vitamins and soaps can a person need? You got to buy to save and sell to make any money. I'm glad I saw this first.

Thanks for this info,,,I also listen to CTC with Noory and thought this might b a good opportunity since he endorses it but he's also a climate denier so am not quite surprised that this promotion is a bust. Thanks for the heads up , you saved me and many others lots of wasted time.
